Impregnated Activated Carbon

An impregnated-carbon trial should reproduce the intended operating stream as closely as practical. The moisture condition, temperature and contaminant mixture belong in the evaluation record, because a simplified laboratory gas may not represent the installation.

Impregnated activated carbon is not one interchangeable material. A selection brief should identify the target gas and operating stream, then ask the supplier which treatment chemistry and supporting evidence apply to the offered grade.
