Fruit-Shell Carbon for Process-Water Trials: Build a Useful Sampling Plan
Activated Carbon buying guide · Fruit Shell Activated Carbon
Changes in feed-water quality can obscure a fruit-shell carbon trial. Sample the inlet alongside each outlet reading so the comparison separates feed variation from carbon performance.
Record the inlet alongside the outlet
Collect paired samples and note production conditions, flow and temperature. Use consistent analytical methods and identify the specific target rather than relying on visual clarity. If a stream varies across shifts, include that variation in the evaluation plan.
Preserve the trial conditions
Use equal contact arrangements when comparing finished grades. For a bed trial, record media volume and cumulative throughput; for a dose trial, record mixing and separation conditions. Explain any departures from the plan in the final report so the purchase decision is based on comparable evidence.
What to record before approval
- Pair inlet and outlet samples at defined times.
- Record production changes that affect the feed.
- State the trial acceptance measure before ordering bulk media.
